Cambridge Health Alliance Windsor Dental services (Jun 2020-June 2021)
Completed a one-year general practice residency position at Cambridge Health Alliance, an affiliate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Performed comprehensive clinical care at the Windsor Clinic site serving vulnerable populations in the areas of restorative, preventative, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and implant services. Completed extensive hospital rotations as a GPR resident in family medicine, anesthesia, and emergency departments at CHA affiliated hospitals. Additionally, residents benefitted from classroom lecture series at Harvard School of Dental Medicine to bolster didactic education.
Harvard Implantology Collaboration (Oct 2020- present)
Joined Implantology residents at Harvard School of Dental Medicine Advanced Graduate and Faculty Clinic during treatment. Assisted in clinical care of lateral and vertical sinus lifts, horizontal and vertical ridge augmentation, and simple and multiple implant placement. Gained insight in guided surgery, iTero 3-D scanning, dental photography techniques, and Straumann implant systems.
Harvard Medical School Oral Health Day (September 30th 2020)
Participated in Oral Health Day for Harvard Medical School first and second year students as a resident faculty member. Presented current literature and considerations for dental referral of patients in primary care settings. Reiterated preventative approaches to medicine to include regular head and neck screenings and recognizing early signs of oral cancer.
Co-presenter for Harvard School of Dental Medicine Research Day (May 2021)
Compiled literature and data from CHA Winsor Dental Services and co-presented two posters on the topics of telehealth and its implementations in an oral health safety net organization and protocol development of COVID-19 testing prior to dental aerosolizing procedures at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in May 2020.
ACTION Clinic (Jan 2020–May 2020)
Supervised and directed Harvard School of Dental Medicine pre-doctoral students during bi-monthly Saturday clinics at CHA dental services. Provided mentorship and guidance to students as they performed restorative, extraction, and preventative procedures free of charge to pediatric patients.
Pre-doctoral Implant Elective Opportunity at University of New England CDM (Jan 2020–May 2020)
Six dental students were selected from the 4th year class to participate in a unique pilot elective whereby students attended small classroom lectures with Dr. David Moyer OMFS and Dr. Samar Shaikh B.D.S M.S. Participants reviewed and discussed current oral surgery and periodontal literature, reviewed and critiqued student implant case presentations, received hands-on training in guided tissue/bone regeneration techniques via pig jaw labs, and finally, placed multiple dental implants in cadaver specimens with Straumann protocol system.
Student Extern at Gorham Family Dentistry (Oct 2019–Dec 2019)
Gorham Family Dentistry is a small private practice located in the White Mountains of Gorham, New Hampshire. The 4th year student extern is provided their own operatory, assistant, and schedule of patients treating cases in operative dentistry, fixed prosthodontics, anterior endodontics, pediatrics, and oral surgery. The 3-month rotation also consisted of complex treatment planning after regular/new patient examinations. The preceptor of the site, Dr. Edwin Giron, D.D.S., is also certified as a master injector in the American Academy of Facial Esthetics providing TMD Botox, dermal fillers, and cosmetic options to his patients. Therefore, the student has unique exposure to facial cosmetics and private practice ownership when rotating at this clinical site.
Member of Interprofessional Immersion (Oct 2018–Dec 2018)
Eight students were selected from the Dental Medicine program and were grouped into Interprofessional teams. The teams worked through a complex case including a physical exam simulation designed and conducted by the team followed by a group conference discussing the simulation. The teams then generated a poster presentation reflecting on the experience and presented it to the public.
Academic Affairs Committee Member (Sept 2017–May 2018)
The AAC is charged with continual and comprehensive evaluation of the dental medicine curriculum including examination of course learning objectives and content to ensure courses are current and relevant, proper integration of biomedical, clinical, and behavioral sciences, as well as course and topic sequencing for students to attain competency to practice independently as a general dentist after graduation. I served as a second-year dental student representative on this committee.
New England ASDA/MDA Mentorship Program (June 2018–present)
Professional mentorship with Dr. Steve Palmer D.D.S. of South Portland. Mentorship included joining Dr. Palmer in attendance to a Greater Portland Dental Society meeting, frequent in-office shadowing, and research discussions related to topics in laser dentistry, prosthodontics, and practice ownership.

Contributor to Special Needs Resource Pamphlet (Spring 2018)
As a part of a public health effort to increase access to care for vulnerable populations, I collaborated with fellow classmates to compile a list of participating offices that provide dental services to special needs patients. 11 out of the 16 counties in Maine were represented after contacting a myriad of providers. Pamphlets were then dispersed at the 2018 Maine Special Olympics to athletes and caretakers to aid in access to care.
Local Elementary School, Nursing Home, and Veterans Home Public Health Initiative (Spring 2017, 2018)
I participated in providing screenings and topical fluoride varnish applications to Songo Locks elementary school in Naples, ME and Westbrook community center in Westbrook, ME. Networked with Colgate representative, Diane Peterson, to provide dental supplies and educational content during school visit to Greene Central in Greene, ME. Additionally, the Veterans home located in Scarborough, ME and Cedars Nursing home in Portland, ME were also visited in an effort to educate patients and providers on techniques and challenges of routine dental care in assisted living.
Volunteer at Preble Street Soup Kitchen (Fall 2016-present)
Students in the Oral Surgery Club volunteered Saturday mornings to prepare and serve meals to homeless patrons in Portland, ME.
North Carolina Missions of Mercy (Oct 2016- March 2016)
Fully operational mobile clinic run by local professional volunteers offering free dental treatment both in emergency and routine care in efforts to address underserved populations in North Carolina.
